ADHD GIFTS I DEPEND ON FOR A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS.

Is there such a thing as ADHD gifts? Are you shocked at the fact that I have ADHD gifts?

See the problem with most ADHD diagnosis is that they make you feel so confused and scared that you miss to see all that ADHD goodness flowing through your body and that’s what I’m going to be talking about in this post.

QUICK BACKGROUND STORY:

I have ADHD. I was diagnosed with ADHD after having my child, experiencing postpartum depression, and having a bland marriage.

Fast forward to today, I still have ADHD but I changed my whole life despite being told to be ashamed of it (not to speak about it).

I have built a business even with my ADHD(I’d say because of it). I no longer feel like a bad mother and I’ve got one hell of a spicy marriage.

With that being said, I’m not here to brag about my accomplishments like most coaches. I just want you to be able to know and see that it is possible to live and thrive with ADHD as a woman or entrepreneur.

Now, let’s get into some of the ADHD gifts that have spear headed my success today and how you can be able to identify your own badass gifts .

PSSST: This is a 3-series post so stay tuned to see the rest of my ADHD gifts that have helped me and how you can use them to help yourself live well, start and grow a successful biz.

Here it goes.

CREATIVITY.

Yes. The one thing most people living with ADHD have is a shit ton of ideas.

I embrace my creativity all the time and when I have an awesome idea, I always write it down so that I don’t forget it.

It’s an amazing feeling when you learn to allow yourself to be creative because for me, that’s when money flows.

As a woman with ADHD, it is easy to suppress that creative part of you because you’re always wilding out with new ideas and excitement and you get tired of that cycle.

I’m here to tell you that you need to be able to allow your ADHD brain to have those pings of ideas.

Usually, it’s good to know which idea is worth following because not all are worth pursuing. And that’s one of the things I am able to teach you in my course - how to figure out which ideas are worth putting your effort into and which ones are not.

EMPATHY.

I started my journey solely to help women who were/ are in my situation and felt stuck, confused and bombarded with medical practitioners and ignorant comments that left them feeling hopeless.

I wanted to be there for those women with ADHD because I know how it feels to be told that you have ADHD and only to find resources about little boys with ADHD.

I wanted to be there for those women who couldn’t figure out how they could be compared with little hyper boys because they weren’t hyper.

And so I learned that my ADHD allowed me to have empathy that would help me walk in the shoes of the people I was helping.

And that made me relatable, show up authentically, and even gain courage to show the parts of my life that most ADHD people are told to be ashamed of.

PROBLEM SOLVING.

The out of the box thinking that comes with ADHD is mind blowing.

Your ADHD brain goes off the rail when you’re given a set of problems to fix.

And when you’re fixing those problems, you don’t think in the same lines as other people.

Once I figured that I had this great ADHD superpower, I knew that it was going to be one of those skills that would help me run my own business.

Did you know that most people with ADHD are entrepreneurs? Well, according to a research study done in the UK stated that the sensation seeking aspect that is most common in people with ADHD is more common among entrepreneurs than in the general population.

The “sensation seeking” is what allows us people with ADHD to look at a group of people, seek out a problem that they have, and find ways to solve them.

That just shows that this ADHD gift that I have is actually very common among people with ADHD meaning that you most likely have it, so tap into it friend.

It is one of the best ADHD gifts that you will have as an entrepreneur because the sole purpose of an entrepreneur is to solve people’s problems.

INNOVATION.

Now, I am innovative in that I come up with new ways to fix problems and I’m also creative. That is a perfect blend for new innovations in my industry.

I love that ADHD has allowed me to be innovative because it makes my business stand out. I have no need to look/ sound like my competition (if I have any).

It gives me a competitive edge that really sets me apart from the flock.

Why?

Because my business is constantly evolving with new ideas that I implement constantly.

RISK TAKING

This comes because I’m a think tank. And because my ideas are so unconventional, most of the time I have to take risk not knowing what the outcome will be.

The only thing with my risk taking behavior is that I take calculated risks.

I look at what people need, how my idea can stand out from the already existing ideas, and how it will be received by the people who need it.

Risk taking takes time to hone into. And is paired up greatly with Intuition to take the right risks.

If you still haven’t learnt to accept your ADHD shortcomings, it will be difficult to be a risk taker as you will have a lot of self-doubt and won’t trust yourself.

If that sounds like you, it’s time to join a community of like minded people experiencing the same ADHD shortcomings but still kicking ass every single day.

It will help you improve your self esteem, have some faith in yourself, and your ADHD gifts.

Sounds like something that would really interest you? Join the club.

I hope this post helped you to figure out which ADHD gift you might have and how you can be able to incorporate them into your own life/ business as a person living with ADHD.
