5 ULTIMATE FOUNDATIONS EVERY ADHD BUSINESS NEEDS

You’re an aspiring ADHD entrepreneur or a new one. Either way, you want to be able to start your own ADHD business and you’re wondering where and how to start it. Well, this is the guide for you.

This guide will walk you through:

  1. The foundations that every ADHD business needs regardless of what you want to do.

  2. How to be able to achieve each business foundation.

  3. The importance of each business foundation in your new ADHD business.

  4. How you can be able to implement it into your new business fast.

So let’s jump straight in.

BUSINESS FOUNDATION 1: START WITH A CLEAR WHY.

Once you’ve identified what you want to do, it’s time you find out why you really want to do what you want to do.

Finding a compelling reason will help drive your mission into realization and it will keep you going even when you feel like quitting.

But don’t let your why be focused on money.

If it starts and ends with money, it will be a short-lived victory but if it’s about impacting people’s lives then it keeps going.

So find out why you want to start your business, stick to it and let it guide you into finding a vision and a mission for your business.

For me, it’s always been to help ADHD women exceed in business despite them having ADHD because I know how it feels. I know what it means to get diagnosed with ADHD, the emotions that come with it and how difficult it can be especially if you’re a woman living with ADHD to start and run a business.

HOW TO FIND YOUR WHY.

Figure out what’s the most important thing to you in relation to your audience.

Did you go through a journey that has defined who you are today?

Have you been through the same problems you’re helping your audience fix?

When your why comes from a personal experience, it gets so attached to serving your audience that the thought of quitting is associated with letting yourself down rather than what other people think.

BUSINESS FOUNDATION 2:  CREATE AN ADHD BUSINESS PLAN

When I specifically say, “ADHD business plan” I mean creating a plan that accounts for your ADHD.

You see most business plans are created by neurotypical business coaches who do not understand the way the ADHD brain works.

That’s why when you follow such business plans, you either fail at ensuring the plan goes through or you simply don’t follow through. And that’s all tied to not putting into account your ADHD. It doesn’t mean that the business plan is wrong. It just means that it was not created for you

There’s an entire training on how to do this in my membership program that will walk you through the exact steps you can take to accommodate your ADHD in your business plan and how you can be able to effectively execute the plan.

BUSINESS FOUNDATION 3:  BRANDING

When people think of branding, they only think of colors but there’s more that goes into it.

Don’t get me wrong, though. Color is a huge aspect of your branding but it isn’t the entire scope of what branding is.

Branding is the feeling you give your audience when they interact with your business. That’s what helps you stand out.

Does your business feel relatable to? Do people like the you in your branding? When they interact with your business, do they feel empowered, happy, relaxed?

So when you’re creating a brand, remember to ask yourself, how do I want my audience to feel when they interact with my business? And what colors can I use to ensure that those emotions come through?

Personal branding is also done for service based entrepreneurs meaning your branding revolves around you. So the questions you’ll want to ask should be centered in and around the persona you want people to associate your brand with.

Asking yourself questions like what persona do I have/ want to portray? Is it confident, trustworthy, focused, successful? Are those the type of emotions I want projected on my audience and how will those emotions affect how they perceive my business and their willingness to buy?

BUSINESS FOUNDATION 4:  AN EMPATHETIC MARKETING STRATEGY

Marketing has been painted to be such a bad trait. And that’s why a lot of ADHD business owners usually stay away from it because it makes them feel sleazy.

But there’s a better way of doing it.

By walking in the shoes of your audience and genuinely caring enough to give a lasting solution to their problems.

When you take this kind of approach where you clearly understand what your audience is going through, you’re marketing stops being sleazy. And instead your products/ services are seen as a much needed solution that your audience need to get to their desired goal. The results of them buying that product makes them feel good about themselves rather than feeling duped.

BUSINESS FOUNDATION 5:  USE THE USP FORMULA

Sales is the lifeline of your business. If you do not sell, you cannot sustain your business unless you’re running a charity. That’s why it’s important to learn how you can differentiate your business from the flock.

There are many strategies that you can use to differentiate your business from your competitors like capitalizing on your competitor’s weakness or offering a unique way of doing things that has not been done before.

Either way, you still need to find the uniqueness of your business.

WHY?

Because it will not only increase the value of your products, but it will also make selling it to other people easier.

It will be clear to your potential audience that your products/ services give more value than any other service in the industry.
